Attacker of Kosher restaurant free for several months

Saleh Ali, who vandalized a kosher restaurant was freed after bieng held by the for two days.  When he came before a court, it was decided that he should be subjected to a psychiatric examination, thus he will be free for a few more months. Though the authorities have withheld this information, it became known that the attacker is a Palestinian from Syria with combat experience who was an asylum seeker in the Netherlands. Dutch officials do not consider the clearly antisemitic attack as a hate crime. As a major contrast this past summer, the Dutch police held a Dutch Jew Michael Jacobs for a week as he stood repeatedly near anti-Israeli demonstrators while wearing an Israeli flag. There are no laws prohibiting this.
