Noise of Awacs Planes May Lead to Poor Education Results

The noise of Awacs planes from the nearby NATO base in the German town of Geilenkirchen may lead to the reduced school performance of some children in the nearby Dutch Limburg area. Hundreds of people suffer from increased blood pressure due to the noise and vibrations caused by the planes. These are the findings of the National Institute for Health and Environment. It estimates that more than 40,000 people in the general area are affected by the noise from the planes.www.trouw.nl/laatstenieuws/ln_binnenland/article1055272.ece/Awacs-herrie_beinvloedt_leerprestaties_en_bloeddruk
