Customs Hardly Control Internet Purchases from the United States

In almost 90% of the cases, articles bought in the United States via the Internet are not controlled by the customs department. Customs duties and value added tax are usually not levied on these purchases. Journalists of The Telegraaf who puchased 30 items, at a cost over the amount allowed tax free, were only asked to pay customs duties in three cases. www.trouw.nl/laatstenieuws/ln_binnenland/article1036764.ece/
